Whitetail Hunting
At Elkhorn Outfitters Northland Adventures, we strive to make your hunting experience a success. We presently hunt over 7000 acres of privately owned land, which allows us to offer quality whitetail deer hunting. Our land inventory has allowed us to properly manage the deer herd contained within and produce a history of mature deer. Our goal is to harvest mature deer; we are usually after deer 130 inches or bigger, with a good chance at deer greater than 150 inches. To give you an example of the quality of deer, the 2009 firearms season produced 124, 131, 138, 161 and 165 inch deer.

We offer a variety of hunting terrain, from rolling prairies into wetlands, heavily wooded forests, and hard woods river bottoms mixed with cropland. The White Earth River runs through most of our hunting land. This is not a high fence hunt, it is fair chase only.

The guides work year round to make your hunt successful. Food plots are planted in the early spring to promote antler growth and again in the late summer to attract and hold deer. Shed hunting is done in the spring to see what deer are still around.  Deer scouting is performed daily to pattern deer activities. Trail cameras are also used to help pattern deer as well as show us and clients what we have to offer.

This is a fully guided, full service hunt. Your hunt will include transportation to and from your stands. Most of our land is less than a ten minute drive or utv ride from the main camp. Guides help in tracking animals, as well as field dressing and caping your deer.

The comfort of your hunt is also important. We provide all stands, but feel free to bring your favorite set. We provide cushioned ladder stands, elevated enclosed heated stands, ground blinds and double stand sets for filming hunts. We can accommodate all situations or special need hunts. We can set up hunts for handicap or disabled persons too. We will do what ever it takes to make your hunt as enjoyable as we can.
